Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Mathestra when you use the calculator and its accounts.

Last updated 11 October 2026

In short

  • Mathestra is free to use. Your work belongs to you.
  • Only upload audio you have the right to use, and keep your account secure.
  • Shared links and uploaded audio can be opened by anyone who has the link.
  • Mind the volume: the calculator produces sound exactly as written.
  • The service is provided as it is, and may change over time.

This agreement

These terms apply when you use Mathestra at mathestra.space, with or without an account. By using it, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

Your account

  • Give a real email address that you control, so we can send your sign-in codes.
  • Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.

Your work

Graphs, equations and pieces you create belong to you. To run the service, you give us permission to store, copy and transmit them, and to play and display them to you and to anyone you share them with. This permission covers only what is needed to operate Mathestra, and ends when you delete the content, except for copies others already have through links you shared.

Sharing is public. A shared link contains the piece itself; anyone who has it can open, play and copy it.

Audio you upload

  • Only upload recordings you made, or have permission to use.
  • Uploaded audio can be played by anyone with its address, so do not upload anything private.
  • We may remove audio that infringes someone's rights, or that breaks these terms.

If you believe material on Mathestra infringes your copyright, write to the address below with the details and we will act on valid notices.

Acceptable use

Please do not use Mathestra to:

  • break the law, or infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy;
  • upload or share material that is hateful, harassing, sexually explicit involving minors, or otherwise harmful;
  • attack, overload or probe the service, or get around its security or limits;
  • access other people's accounts or data;
  • use automated means to create accounts or send large volumes of requests.

Sound and hearing

Mathestra plays your equations as written, which can include very loud, high or sudden sounds. Start with the volume low, especially with headphones, and turn it up gradually. Output is limited to the range your device can play, but that range can still be loud enough to harm hearing or speakers. You are responsible for listening at a safe level.

The service

Mathestra is offered free of charge. We may add, change or remove features, set reasonable limits on storage or file sizes, or stop offering the service. If we plan to shut it down, we will give reasonable notice where we can, so you have time to keep a copy of your work.

No warranty

Mathestra is provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we make no promises that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or fit for a particular purpose, or that your saved work will never be lost. Keep your own copies of anything important; a copied link is an easy backup.

Liability

As far as the law allows, Mathestra is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or affects rights you have as a consumer.

Ending

You can stop using Mathestra at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and will explain why where appropriate.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and announce significant changes on the site before they take effect. Continuing to use Mathestra after that means you accept the new terms.
